An afternoon at the Opera

Let’s Create ! With Macbeth

Come with the family to spend an afternoon of discovery and surprises at the Dijon Opera! Designed for parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts (etc.) and children, these half-days offer participative and creative workshops around the main themes of the Opera’s programming. Macbeth is an opera in four acts composed by Giuseppe Verdi. The libretto is drawn from TheTragedy of Macbeth(1606) by William Shakespeare, an author whom Verdi greatly admired.

Encouraged by the predictions of three witches and by the ambition of his wife, Macbeth, a general in King Duncan’s army, kills the king and usurps the throne. The couple’s thirst for power, and their hallucinatory madness, lead them into an infernal spiral of murder.

… Come with the whole family to imagine costumes and stage sets for such a story.
