Celui qui tombe
Ages 7 and up
Premiered in 2014, Celui qui tombe has not stopped touring … but it also continues to pivot, to pitch, to undress beneath the feet of the performers! What games are they playing, on this raft of the Medusa – and how can we not notice how much these characters resemble us? Is Yoann Bourgeois doing circus, dance, or theatre? Before our eyes, a half-dozen souls desperately seek equilibrium on a moving stage, a six-by-six-metre universe of light-toned wood. Leaning, reaching out, grasping, lunging forward – before letting go – they reinvent gestures common to us all, making of this raft afloat in darkness a silent mirror of our humanity.
